TMG History
TMG started operation in Taiwan as the importer of Volvo Cars (1978-2001) and Commercial Vehicles (1978-present).
TMG became the importer of AMC JEEP (1982-1997) and Chrysler (1984-1997) in Taiwan.
In 1997, TMG became the importer of Volvo Cars (1997-2003) and Hyundai (1998-2003) in Hong Kong.
In 1999, TMG took over the importership of Kia (1999-2009) in Taiwan.
In 2000, as the importership of Volvo Cars returned, TMG took over the importership of Volkswagen (2000-2014) in Taiwan until Audi Volkswagen Taiwan was established in 2015. TMG still serves as the primary Volkswagen dealer in Taiwan.
In 2002, TMG became the importer of Audi (2002-2009) in Taiwan, establishing deepened relationships with Volkswagen AG.
In 2007, Taiwan Government opened heavy-duty motorbike market. TMG introduced Harley-Davidson to the market (2007-present).
In 2009, TMG became the importer of Škoda (2009-2016) in Taiwan.
In 2011, TMG acquired the importership of Vespa (2011-present), and successfully established the premium segment of the scooter market.
In 2011, TMG acquired the importership of FCA brands including Abarth, Alfa Romeo, and Jeep (2011-2017) in Hong Kong.
In 2012, with the 40 years success in Taiwan, TMG became the importer of Volvo Commercial (2012-present) in Honk Kong.
In 2012, TMG started an assembly factory of commercial vehicles for Volvo and UD.
In 2013, TMG expanded business to Malaysia and started a Volkswagen dealership in Puchong (2013-2019) and a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Kuala Lumpur (2017-2019).
In 2013, TMG established Volkswagen dealership in Shanghai and Fuzhou (2013-2016).
In 2016, TMG built up Mazda's biggest flagship store in Asia and started Mazda dealership business in Taipei (2016-present).
In 2017, following the dealership in Puchong Malaysia, TMG started Mercedes-Benz dealership business in Taiwan (2017-present).
In 2018, TMG launched a digital mobility platform, CARGURU, for Taiwan market.
In 2021, TMG started the importership of Volvo Construction Equipment in Taiwan market.
